West Brom striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Peter-Odemwingie-c29794 believes the Baggies are capable of finishing in the top five this season and is confident that their form will pick up and they will bounce back to winning ways.
This campaign marks West Brom’s best start to a Premier League season in decades, and has seen them defeat the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019. The Baggies have also been in the top 4 prior to their 3-game losing streak, which sees them drop down
to 7th on the league table.
Odemwingie was part of the team that shocked everyone as it climbed to 3rd spot before their losing run saw them drop down. West Brom have only managed 1 point in their last 4 games, and have experienced a slight dip in form.
However, the Nigerian international feels that Albion can be a real force under manager Steve Clarke and is confident that an impressive finish not beyond their capabilities.
Clarke was appointed as senior manager following a season as part of Liverpool’s managerial staff last season under Kenny Dalglish. This marks the Scot’s first senior managerial endeavour, and he has surprised everyone by taking West Brom to new heights.
Odemwingie was full of praise for the Baggies boss and said:
“When a new manager comes in there is uncertainty but things are going well. Our points total is based on our performances not on dreams. The fans are excited and loving the quality of football we are producing at the moment.”
“There is nothing wrong with those dreams we have of finishing in the top five. Maybe we can continue with that and see how far we can go. There is no doubt we will do better than last season. We’ve had an exceptional start to this campaign and we are hoping
for an exceptional end.”
West Brom host Norwich City on the weekend at the Hawthorns, and will be preparing for a tough encounter against the in-form http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Canaries-c38723, who have not lost in their last 10 games in the Premier League.
The Baggies will welcome back first choice goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ben-Foster-c7445 back to the starting line-up, but will be without the injured Steven Reid.
