The last quote of the book is, "Now what the h**l ya suppose is eatin' them two guys?"

What is that supose to mean? Can you explain it?

  1. "Eatin' them ," is a slang term for what's bothering them. I read the book soooo many years ago, but I hope this info helps a little. Good luck! ;)


  2. It shows how they have no idea what George and Slim are feeling.  George has lost his best friend and Slim is able to understand that, but the other guys never really had best friends, so they do not understand what it feels like to lose one.
