Of all the astrological signs, which ones seem to be the LEAST accurately described in astrology books?

One Good and One Bad:

I think most astrologers are completely off when it comes to the characteristics of Cancers! I have yet to be a sweet hearted cancer! Yet, they are always depicted as shy, internal types. I have yet to encounter a cancer who hasn't thought of themselves when it comes to a disatorous situation. They'd be the ones pushing you out of the way, and stampeding over you when you are all trapped in burning building! I am sure there are some out there who aren't selfish, but I have yet to meet one...

On the other side of the coin, I have yet to meet a libra male or female who were play boys or girls, which is what most of the descriptions say. I think they enjoy having friends of both sexes and they eventually treat you like family. (I do find they can be a tad needy, in the sense that they always need people to confirm that they love them...) But, they love, love...and that to me doesn't make them playboys or girls, just very loving.

I know these are generalizations, but just wanted to ask the question... Opinions?

I think that Scorpios always get a rough deal with everyone. They all seem to focus on the bad things about the sign. Scorpios aren't all bad. Yes, they do have a nasty sting in their tail, but the key there, is not to upset one! They are in actual fact very loyal, protective, and great at keeping your secrets.

I find these same people ignore the fact the 'Amazing Aries', are in fact stubborn, ignorant, pushy and selfish, and that they are 'leaders' and 'strong willed'.

I'll take a Libra over a Cancer in the workplace any day. Cancers are a lot of fun if they trust you or they see you as someone who can help them get ahead, but a lot of them are very self-protecting and insecure and will gossip and play sneaky mind games to feel better about themselves. With family, they can be wonderful or neurotic. It all depends on whether they've worked out their trust issues.

Girrrrrrrrllll...........You aint neva lied.....Cancers are supposed to be these sweet caring individuals...NOT!....Cancers are really sneaky, like to talk about ppl behind their back, use ppl and they lie.....Cancers are also supposed to be clingy....they really arent....i know this one cancer in particular and she doesnt like being bothered with ppl at all....as a matter of fact, if she doesnt have to talk to you she wont....she avoids ppl....shes rude....i could go on and on.  but im going to stop here.

i was about to say the same answer as you.

cancer is not as sweet and loving as the interenet makes them seem

they are only nurturing to those they really care about. to others they can be rude, distant, secretive, and moody.

they aren't the sweet, innocent crabs that they are thought of. i have seen many blow up, and noticed they tend to be extremely violent and abusive when angered. not an innocent, loving crab anymore, huh?

being a cardinal sign, they also have a more aggressive approach to things, and love being in charge.

Cancers are usually only sweet to their loved ones. They are apprehensive about everyone else which usually comes off as rude.

Libras love being in relationships, so when they find the right person they usually stick around. Libras arent really the types to be with someone just for s*x.

While we're on the topic, i think Virgos get a bad rap as well. Most of the bad things they do, they do to themselves (depression, neurosis, etc.). They are usually fun, knowledgable people.
