1) The Ring

2) WBC

3) WBA

4) IBF

5) WBO

6) WBU

the WBA & WBC have been around the longest.

when  the IBF came into being, they gained credibility by awarding their belts to outstanding champions larry holmes, aaron pryor, don curry and marvin hagler without fights,

the WBO has struggled to gain credibility  outside europe,  but more and more it too, is being recognised.............no one cares about the others, except the guys fighting for them.

The ring magazine belt is awarded by a magazine not won in the ring so you cant call it a boxing organisation, so i dont know what the three above are on about?. Out of the various organisations its hard to say which is most legit theses days as they can all be  a bit dodgy at times but id say the most prestigious is still the WBC.

I agree with speedbag, but with dela hoya buying Ring magazine i don't know how long that might last. out of actual bodies i would go with the IBA. they have low sanctioning fees and if you lose you automatically lose the belt regardless of if there were fees or not. plus they don't allow rematch clauses to executed. another good thing is that most undisputed champs have iba recognition. IBA doesn't give a lot of barriers to climb over like the other ones do
