1. That was the biggest bunch of losers of all time. None of them was the best.

  2. Ah, the "80s" babies. Very good question. Most of them were actually decent but none of them trained. I call them the "80s babies" because I dont think any of them took boxing seriously. Williams, Smith, Berbick and Coetzee did train but the rest didnt.

Add another "no hoper" to the bunch, Tony Tucker, and I would say he's better than all of them. He's not overly talented but he did train better and had a better style than the few who did train.

Page was probably the most talented but RARELY trained.

Dokes had all the speed in the world but no discipline to train.

Witherspoon had the best defense but, again, he didnt like to train.

Berbick was clearly stronger than all of them but he was retarded or something. He had rocks in his head.

Thomas was strong too and had a decent jab but couldn't stay off the drugs.

Bonecrusher was strong but very slow with little talent.

Williams could be KO'd by a welterweight. h**l, even Patterson might have had a better chin if THAT is possible.

James Broad was blubber and almost Never trained. Same for Tubbs.

I have to say that TONY TUCKER was the best of them all. Since he's not on your list I would have to go with TREVOR BERBICK. He's not that good but he's strong as an ox and too crazy to be hurt. None of them possess the skill to keep him honest.

  3. Does Gerry Cooney count? he fought into the 80's, his only 3 losses came to Holmes, Spinks, and Foreman. He had Ko wins over Norton, Lyle, and Young.

Other then Cooney id go with Terrible Tim Witherspoon, but he always fell short in his big fights.

Tony Tucker was a huge heavyweight though and would be too much for any of the other fighters listed, Him and Berbick would have been a good fight.

Out of the guys you listed though Id take Witherspoon, although he did lose by first round knockout to Bonecrusher Smith, it was just a bad night. He had shown previously that he could handle Smith easily by winning almost everyround in their first fight.
