T^T I love them so much, but they run dry SO FAST. I went through an entire pen on this, and it's not even finished!:

Is there any way I can use them more efficiently, like, hold them at a certain slant or store them in a special way??? I don't care if I have to store them in the refrigerator; I just want my Microns to last longer! I'm spending so much money on these little buggers... And I just can't stop! They're so pretty and dark... I can't help myself! >.<

Also, anyone like the art? o_O I'm playing around, sketching, trying a new inking style... I think it looks good, I just need to practice more on it... I'm still making little lines where I don't want them. :/

  1. Have you tried the Staedtlers instead? I've found they last longer than the microns and they feel about the same.

I suspect the issue with microns dying prematurely has something to do with the way Sakura imports their products. Shipping from Japan is so. painfully. slow. They probably dry out in transit.

  2. Often it's the paper you use that's the problem - a hard-surfaced marker paper works better than a soft drawing paper or copy paper - the softer, cheaper papers absorb more ink but marker paper lets the ink sit on top so your markers go farther.

Also, always store your markers by lying them down horizontally, never sit them upright in a cup as that can either dry out or overload the tip.

Sorry I couldn't get your drawing link, I'm a dragon nut myself.
