I am writing a short one page paper for my government class and this is the topic. It's not that big of a deal but I'm interested in other peoples opinions.

  1. 1st except yahoo doesn't follow it

  2. Second Amendment because it means the people have a means of resisting the government and by that ensure the other nine.

  3. The Right to bear arms. The only reason a criminal with a gun doesn't come through your front door at night is that he doesn't know if YOU have a gun that will kill him. If he knows for sure that you are law abiding and are not allowed to own a gun, he will feel empowered to rob you and maybe kill you.

  4. Gunny is correct. The 2nd is the only one that gives us the ability to keep the rest.

  5. 9th.  Your rights are not limited to the ones listed here.  10th is a close second favorite.

  6. without a free press .. a democracy cannot exist.

the people must be informed as to reality.. in order to make intelligent informed decisions.

when the cia and corporations are allowed to buy up the media.. and false flag all the voters with bullcrap and disinformation (check out fox news) then a true democracy cannot exist..

without a first amendment.. none of the others have any meaning.  it's the first amendment cus it's the most important amendment.   it's the cornerstone of the constitution.

you just have a bunch of delusional people being manipulated by the few who know the truth. and profit by it.

  7. 10th.  it protects us from the overbearing powers of the federal government.  although it is completely ignored today.
