  1. larry nelson is correct , should have been ryder cup captain . won two majors . took game up at 22 . won firsdt tourney 25 . instruction book . hogans 5 fundementals of golf . even wore famous hogan cap . with grey trousers . decorated nam vet . including purple heart . bronze star .


  2. I saw a guy on the Champions Tour today that started at age 20. That's d**n old to be a professional golfer.

  3. Larry Nelson (probably who you might have seen on TV) didn't start playing until he was 21 after having served a tour in Vietnam. He turned pro a couple of years later and had a really nice career.

  4. Greg Norman didn't play golf until he was 16. By the time he was 18 he was playing off scratch - and he's still competitive at 53!
