Being from  Leicester I'd have to credit Mark Selby, after his terrific performance over the past few weeks, it looks like he's ready to take on the world.

Another choice for me would be the very talented Ding Junhui.

I think the one's to watch for next year are Selby and Robertson, however Ding will normally challenge, he was just unlucky yo be drawn against a resurgent O'Sullivan in th World Championship. Cope was a revelation this season with two ranking final appearances.

Dott's not young he turns 30 next week. Carter's 27, and why on earth is Shaun Murphy not on the list he's only 24.

Couldn't help but notice you included Greame Dott, come on hes in his 30s at least, now hes won his title I hope he never wins again most boring player ever, anyway I think Selby has missed his chance, Ding needs to get alot tougher after his womanly display in the UK Masters final, so maybe Trump might be the next big thing but its hard to look past the established players for a while yet, I think Ronnie might win the World Championship again next year

Mark Selby and Neil Robertson are two of the best players, exciting to watch, talented, lots of charisma, they make the game interesting and worth watching. Neil already won two ranking titles last year. Mark was the true champion of this years World Championship in my opinion, superb player. Ryan Day is one to watch too.

i agree that selby and carter had brilliant shows at this years championship. ding needs to grow thicker skin if he is to become a great player but the potential is there.
