  1. I may not be qualified to answer this question, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night so I guess that makes me a professional travel agent?

  2. Never heard of Microtel or Budget Inn.

Out of the other 3, I'd say Holiday Inn Express or Best Western.

  3. My experience the newer the hotel or the later the last general upgrade the better the hotel in terms of staff, facilities etc!

  4. It depends on your location but I have had good experience with holiday inn express and best western.

  5. a bed is a bed...geez...you're not living there

  6. Depends on the cities and the managers within the hotels.  My favorite place to look for hotel ratings is Trip Advisor.  I recommend that a LOT because I, myself, am in the midst of planning a vacation.  I've found that hearing from other travelers about specific hotel reviews is invaluable.

  7. Holiday Inn

  8. I've stayed at all of them except the Microtel and Budget Inn. I'd say Days Inn or Holiday Inn Express.

  9. Yikes.  They are all pretty bad.  Days Inn and Best Western have the most comfortable beds in the world though.

  10. Holiday Inn Express anyday!!

  11. They are all pretty much the same.  I recently spent several days at the Days Inn, at Hilton Head Island, SC.  I was not thrilled.

I stayed at a Red Roof Inn that was better than the Days Inn and cost less than one-half as much.

Maybe you should pick the one with the lowest rates.
