Of what other book or movie does "Tuesdays with Morrie" remind you of? Why?

I don't know a lot about the book, but from what I do know if it, it reminds me of the TV series Heroes because one of the main characters on that program was taking care of a dying man and visiting him often.

The book that I am reminded of is "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch.  The wise words of a dying man inspiring others...pretty close if you ask me.  PLUS...Pausch was in the prime of his life.  Many people who are near the end of their lives (Like Morrie) are philosophical about their ultimate demise; Mr. Pausch must have had an "old soul."
