  1. If you are looking to increase your flexability the best way to do so is stretch in short intervals serveral times a day.  If you want to do off ice training I suggest sticking with ballet and not doing any hip-hop or gymnastics type things that are more likely to injure you and prevent you from skating.  Many dance studios offer classes specifically for stretching only.  As for specific ballet moves that help improve skating- I'm not quite sure.  But I'd check into the local dance studios and find out if they offer stretching classes. Who knows? If you do ballet you might take that up as a new favorite sport! Good luck with your skating!!

  2. all you have to do is the splits and stretches that he;p that area!

  3. Doing some weight exercises helps make you stronger so you can skate faster, jump higher, etc.  You could try and find an off ice trainer, but you could probably get just as good of a workout by yourself.  Squats, off ice jumps, crunches, push ups, that sort of stuff.  Ballet can help you a lot if you want to be more artistic so I would reccommend taking it.
