Off ice training routine for figure skating ??

i need a reall good off ice routine for figure skating. I skate 3 days a week and do hip hop, tap, and jazz dancing 3 days a week so i need something else to help me with my off ice training. Any ideas on a good routine or what you do if you are a figure skater ??

  1. make sure you add in squats and running up hill...  build up your legs as much as possible and work on your core!!!  


  2. Well, dancing is good, but ballet would really help you a lot more.

  3. gymnastics really made me stronger, also pilates because it gives you awesome posture and keeps those core muscles strong. especially for me when i was doing my double jumps. i looked really sloppy because I would fold slightly at the waist when i did my jumps instead of keeping straight up and down because i was weak in my upper body area.

    Ballet is another excellent idea.

    its perfect for skating, since much of ballet is done on ice. it works all the right muscles and helps your flexibility improve immensely!
