Off peak and on peak switches for a storage heater what are they called?

i have a storage heater which is connected to 2 switches, first has a switch and a light, the second has a switch, light and a fuse, i have seen something on line referring to fcu would these be the right switches?

  1. It's normally called a timer switch.  It turns the water heater on when electricity prices are lower (off peak hours), usually at night.  It turns it back off when the prices go up during the day (on peak hours).  There's no reason to have two switches.  It sounds like one is just a fuse box and shut-off switch and the other is the timer switch.  See the links below for more information.
