Question:

Off the books job...?

I worked off the books last year and also had a child in July. I earned $2,880. Do you think I would end up having to pay more taxes than I would be receiving as a return?

Sorry if this sounds confusing...

  1. No idea, but any online tax program, like turbotax, could compare the tax credits to the taxes.

My guess is, between the child tax credits, and the stimulus packge refund, you'd not pay ANY income taxes, and you'd get $600 - or more - back.  It's going to depend on your filing status, and your husband if you have one.
