I have received an offer from the said company and would like to know whether this is a real one or it is also a scam. In fact this offer is for the post of "Electrician" whereas I am an Electrical Engineer.

  1. Did you actually apply for a job, or did they contact you randomly out of the blue via email?  Does the email actually have your name on it?  Is the email reply address a proper registered domain, or is it a free email account at Yahoo or Hotmail?  Are they offering a salary that is too good to be true?  If the answer to one or more of these questions is yes, then it is likely to be a scam.

Be wary of sending them any personal details or they might try and steal you identity, and whatever you do, don't send them any money upfront for any kind of work permit.

    EDIT:

£7,200 a MONTH???  I'd call that VERY ATTRACTIVE.  That is so ridiculously high as to be unreal.  If you get £20,000 a YEAR in the UK you're doing well, let alone upwards of £80,000 !!!  No-one gets that kind of money, certainly not at random in an email.

I've looked up "Bowmer & Kirkland" and they are a genuine building company with a real website at http://www.bandk.co.uk/

According to this website (http://www.joewein.de/sw/419domains.htm)... bowmerandkirkland.net is a known web domain registered by Nigerian 419 internet fraudsters.  This is definately a SCAM, albiet a pretty intelligent one.  Don't answer them.

I am jesal Patel Civil Engg. from mumbai.
