Hi! This is really my big cousins account but i'm just using it for a bit.

But one of my mums friends has stables and her grandaughter has a horse but she only comes up on saturdays and sundays. So she said i could come up and ride him the other days an help to muck him out and that.

Will i need anything like my own grooming kit and that?

I have a hat already and jods n boots.

Thanks everyone!

  1. if u are on country roads its probably best to buy reflective gear like a vest and bandages for the horse. i no it isnt the most flattering thing to wear but saftey first!!

I think a grooming box will be good full of brushes and lots of treats!

  2. well if its  her horse than she should already have brushes 4 him

  3. Wow you're so lucky, I would love to do this for someone. You could buy a grooming kit because they're not that expensive and you will probably need it. Also a halter and lead rope might be a good idea.

Ask the girl who's horse it is because she will have all this stuff so you could just use hers if she lets you. You will need a wheelie and a fork to muck out but I'm guessing there's somewhere you can borrow them from.

  4. um... well if its her horse you should be able to use her stuff like a saddle and brushes.  the barn should have shaving and she should have a wheel barrow so i don't think you will need anything.  well... actually.... make sure to have lots of carrots. and apples, and bananas, and watermelon!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. You can just use her equipment for grooming and riding unless you are too big or small for the saddle then maybe the stables would have another that might fit both of you.  Do not go out and buy a new one.  Have fun

  6. Like the other answerer says she should already haev all his kit but I'd check with her just in case she takes it home or keeps it in her car or anything - best to ask if the tack is there too.

Are you planning on riding him on or off the property ?  It would be a good idea to check that you are covered on the insurance just in case.

  7. no she should have everything that u need to look after the horse

all u need is everything for u

hat, jods, boots, waterproof coat etc

  8. you shouldn't need one

but i like having my own that i decorate and color code all cute

    does the horse need tack?

  9. Hi there. I share a horse and he has everything he could possibly want. I thought it would be a bit forward to go along with all my own stuff but it turns out that he doesn't need it anyway. If i were you I'd just turn up and see what's there. You can pick up a grooming kit for very little but I'm sure it'll all be there waiting for you. Always take your own clothes etc and make sure you have a proper hat.

    Good luck :D
