I just purchased Office 2007 Professional. I've noticed that it says "non-commercial use" at the top of my screens. Why?

  1. Sounds like you installed Office 2007 Professional Edition on top of a free trial version of Office 2007 Home and Student Edition which probably came with your new computer.  You should have uninstalled the free trial version of Office before you installed your purchased version of Office.  At this point, you should uninstall both versions, restart the computer, and then install your purchased version of Office.

If you get an error message when you try to uninstall either or both versions using the "Add or Remove Programs" feature in Windows, then see http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=92821... "How to uninstall the 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it by using the 'Add or Remove Programs' feature".
