Office Depot will be the sponsor for Tony Stewart in 2009 when he drives for Haas CNC Racing which is will buy in to. Hearing the announcement of the buy and deal will be made in Indianapolis the week NASCAR is in Indy for the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard, July 27th. Tony Stewart is expected to announce a 2009 move to Haas-CNC Racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in three weeks. Reliable sources tell Sirius Speedway that Stewart will also announce sponsorship from Office Depot and Old Spice as part of a new, multi-year package with Haas CNC, and that Penske Racing’s Ryan Newman will join him as a teammate, with sponsorship from Jack Daniels. That surprise move comes as the result of an enviable situation at Richard Childress Racing, which now has five potential sponsors for next season, and only four teams.

  1. Is Clint gonna drive the big brown truck?

Bowyer's number will probably change, too. I can see it going back to #30 or maybe to something like 03 or 32. Whatever seems more Childress-y.

  2. this is very suprising.... i already new about stewart which suprised me the most cuz i am a fan of him. i think he will do well with ryan mewman as a teammate but now ill have to get rid of all the orange home depot stuff.

i was also suprised mark martin will drive full time with hendrick

  3. Remember, none of this is confirmed as yet.

I hope Tony stays with JGR.

But it will be interesting come the week of Indianapolis.

  4. Welcome to silly season.  Wait and see who sponsors who.  With out sposnsorship, you can kiss the teams goodbye.

  5. Tony has made it known that he was going to leave JGR at the end of this season anyways. He doesn't like the Toyota! On Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain they said Tony might buy a part of the Haas team and it would be known as Stewart-Haas. He has also said that by the time he turns 40 he might hang up racing all together and be owner! (I HOPE THAT never happens on the not racing! can't imagine that happening!
