Office publisher 2007 and 2003?

has anyone else noticed that out of all the 2007 office programs, publisher is the most different and its the most common one to 2003? like u cant even access the same features in publisher 2007 that u can in powerpoint 2007. like what happened? y is publisher not as "enhanced" as powerpoint and word are in 2007 office?

that is the one program i have not bothered with...i do like word powerpoint and excel or at least what i see of them so far..lol im in school taking these classes...and i was getting so confused using it at school and coming home to 03...i hate 03 now....everything hidden...
