Officemax gift card online?

when i use my gift card there do i also have to give them my credit card

#? because during check out it says:

"We'll first apply the balance on the selected Card to your order then charge the remainder to the credit card you've selected above."

This just means if there is not enough on the gift card the DIFFERENCE will be charged on the credit card.
