  1. Apply for warrant officer training and be a helicopter pilot.  No college required, but not all the perks of a regular commissioned officer.   It's definitely a cut above the enlisted life though.

  2. you can be a warrant officer  right after high school but only as a helicopter pilot but when you make it to E5, you can become a warrant officer, all the perks of a commissioned officer, in fact you receive a commission. ! ROTC is complemented by college classes

  3. The green to gold program sounds like what you want. Ask your recruiter about it.

  4. I can understand why you might be a little tired of the academic grind.... why you would want to get some action in your life

There are several ways to become a commissioned officer.....

I am sure you can talk to a recruiter and find a path that suits you......BUT.... once you become an officer you will be competing with other officers for advancement and assignments..... your lack of education will work against you.....might even cause your release from active duty earlier than YOU planned.....or keep you from being promoted

I strongly suggest you continue your education.....maybe enroll in an ROTC program.....( I taught ROTC several years.....be glad to help you make the most of the experience)

  5. After serving 12 years as enlisted, i decided to become a Commissioned Warrant officer. it was the best thing i could have done. There are requirements for education as time goes by, but i was pinned as a warrant only having a GED. I did aquire some college while i was a warrant. It's an option.
