some lists say Melbourne, Australia is the 3rd safest place on earth now im curious of what the OFFICIAL top 3 safest places are.

Whatever answer you get remember the info needs to be taken in context.  For example, Japan and Scandanavia have far fewer homicides per year than the USA but have many more suicides and certain types of accidental deaths.  The rates of non-natural deaths in Japan, Scandanavia, and the USA are about the same.

The tiny red dot is low in crime rate and almost totally free from natural calamities. Just that most individual's mental stress level is pretty high, though the local media authorities are not reporting on the suicide rate.

If you are so d**n rich, you could build the safest haven in the most unsafe place on earth.

Vice versa. If you are struggling to make a living, the safest place does not mean much to you.
