Reports from Utrecht confirm that FC Utrecht have signed another Swedish talent in the ongoing summer transfer market with the capture of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcus-Nilsson-c23825 to their ranks
after failing to lure Dutch talents to Stadion Galgenwaard.

Jan Willem van Dop, the Utreg chairman, revealed that his side has successfully acquired the services of three Swedish players, who were linked with many other European clubs as well.
“I must say that we have a very successful period (of transfers) behind us. We had our sights focused on three players and we have signed all three. For the three Swedes, but especially Gerndt, there was also much interest from other clubs. However, thanks
to the decisive and the good 'story' of FC Utrecht they have chosen our club”, Willem van Dop was quoted as saying to the media.
The Utreg chairman then went on to reveal that all three players have strong presence and will certainly achieve better results for their side in the future.

The 25-year-old’s decision to snub other interested European clubs in favour of a move to play in Eredivisie can be attributed to the fact that Dutch top tier has remained a feeder league to elite European clubs for some time now. The striker would be looking
to use the Utreg as a stepping-stone for a move to a top European club in the future.
