La Viola have officially announced signing of the Bianconeri striker. The striker was bench-held at Turin and was desperate to find a new home.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/ACF-Fiorentina-c38209 have officially confirmed the arrival of Juventus forward, Amauri, at Stadio Artemio Franchi.
The Tuscan giants have signed the Brazilian-born striker on a loan deal for the remainder of the ongoing 2011/12 season, and reserve the right to buy the player in the summer transfer window for apprximately three million Euros.
Amauri was linked to several Italian clubs, as AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603, Genoa and AC Milan were all interested in signing the powerful striker. Fiorentina sporting director, Pantaleo Corvino, last week claimed that La Viola have reached an agreement
with the Turin giants, and Amauri will arrive in Tuscany soon.
The club’s official website released a statement regarding the acquisition which read:
"Fiorentina announces that they have acquired from Juventus, on a temporary basis, the services of the forward Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira."
Amauri was signed by Juventus in 2008 from Serie A outfit, US Palermo, for approximately 22 million Euros. The striker was handed the famous number 11 jersey by the Bianconeri.
His first season with the Old Lady was decent; however, lack of consistency and injuries left the striker on the sidelines for majority of the following campaign. Amauri spent the second half of the 2010/11 season on loan at Parma,
and helped them keep their top flight status intact by scoring seven goals in 11 appearances.
On his return to Turin, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Amauri-c5381 was excluded from the club’s future plans, as they listed him for sale in the summer transfer window. Unfortunately, Juve could not find a suitor for the Italian international, and he was left in
the reserves set up.
Fiorentina have signed Amauri as a direct replacement to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stevan-Jovetic-c34163, who is in rich vein of form this season.
