Rumours regarding http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international will not be playing for the Principality club next season.
The residents of Stade Louis II have confirmed that AS Monaco and Giuly have decided to end their relationship by mutual consent. However, the management has added that the player will be honoured this Monday before the Ligue 2 game against Tours FC.
“AS Monaco and Ludovic Giuly formalised the end of their collaboration this Friday. The club wishes to thanks Giuly for all he has given to the club throughout his career. Ludovic will always be welcome at the Stade Louis II and AS Monaco. The club will
also host a ceremony in his honour on Monday before the game against Tours to show its affection for the iconic player.”
Recognising the club’s affection for him, the player was also thankful of the Monegasque club for giving him some of the best moments of his career.
“Monaco allowed me have the best years of my life as a football. I want to thank the leaders for the conditions in which I ended my adventure with ASM,” said the former AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 man.
The former Champions League winner is now a free agent and has thus, arrived at a crossroads in his career. Reports claim that there are still many French clubs out there who are willing to offer the veteran attacking midfielder one last challenge.
Under the new Russian owner, Dmitry Rybolovlev, AS Monaco want to become a true force in French football. Under the guidance of new coach Claudio Ranieri, the 2000 Ligue 1 champions are looking to win promotion back to Ligue 1 football.
The Italian tactician knows that he has to make a lot of tough decisions. Even though he appreciates what Giuly has done for the club, Ranieri was never really going to rely on the 36-year-old that much next season so an amicable separation was always on
the cards.
