The former Dutch International has agreed to take over the managerial hot seat at Philips Stadion after the club management sacked the former Schalke coach.
Reports from Philips Stadion confirm that PSV Eindhoven have dismissed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fred-c14136 Rutten and appointed Phillip Cocu as his replacement until the end of the ongoing campaign.
Rutten had already announced that he would be leaving the managerial hot seat at Philips Stadion this summer. However, the club management decided to part ways with the former Schalke manager on Monday, March 12, after a run of three successive defeats.
The 49-year-old tactician, who was appointed as the Boeren head coach in the summer of 2009, failed to win silverware with PSV since his arrival at Philips Stadion, guiding the Boeren to a third place finish.
The club seemed to be performing well this term. However, three defeats in a row were hard to digest and the management decided to dismiss the Dutch trainer.

Ernest Faber, who was working at FC Eindhoven and has agreed terms with PSV on a two-and-a-half year contract, will be working alongside the 41-year-old.

The 41-year-old would be looking to impress the club management right from his first game and would be aiming to progress through to the next phase of the European competition.
