Vitesse Arnhem have completed the signing of Renato Ibarra from Ecuadorian outfit, El Nacional, reports from Arnhem confirm. The 20-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him at GelreDome Stadion until the summer of 2014.
The young winger had remained in sight of the Arnhem outfit for a long time and his arrival at GelreDome Stadion was only a matter of time. The Ecuadorian International played 31 matches, scored three goals and provided a bagful of assists for the Puros
Criollos before joining the Dutch outfit.
The 20-year-old was unable to hide his joy after signing a contract with Vitesse. Ibarra revealed that he has signed with a good club and admitted that he is eager to join his teammates in the coming days.
“Vitesse is a big club in the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753, from the information I have received, and I would like to join as soon as possible”, Ibarra said while talking to the media.
After passing a medical in Netherlands, the right-winger put pen to a three-year contract. However, the promising youngster would not be joining the outfit from Arnhem before August, owing to his participation in the upcoming U-20 World Cup, which will begin
on July 29.
The midfielder revealed that he is returning to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ecuador-c2889 to rejoin his national U-20 side.
“Today, I am going to return to Ecuador to rejoin the team. We have a World Championship in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Colombia-c2873 and I hope to do well with my team”, the youngster added.
The 2010/11 campaign was no delight for Vitesse, as they finished 15th in the league table. Merab Jordania, who took control of the financially troubled club last year, has set his sights on finishing in the top half of the league table in the
2011/12 season.
The outfit from Arnhem are busy in the ongoing summer transfer market as they look to forge a squad that would challenge for titles. Furthermore, with the appointment of John van den Brom as their new coach, Vitesse’s future looks bright for the upcoming
seasons.
