Official: Roda JC Kerkrade signs Sanharib Al Malki from KSC Lokeren O.V – Dutch Eredivisie news
Reports from Kerkrade confirm that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roda-JC-c40375 Kerkrade have successfully signed Sanharib Al Malki from KSC Lokeren O.V on a free transfer. The 27-year-old signed with the Dutch outfit after spending time with De Koempels during the preseason training camp and
recently made his unofficial debut in a friendly game against Weerter Selection.
The Syrian International was extremely delighted after signing a contract and revealed that he was happy since De Koempels expressed interest in taking his signature.
“I was very happy when I heard about a month ago that Roda JC are interested in signing me. A player wants to play games and I was relieved after playing in the training game. Although the match was against amateurs but it does give a good feeling”, Kalki
stated on Roda JC official website.
The 27-year-old spent the last six months of the season ended on loan with Panthrakikos FC, where he played 13 matches and scored a lone goal. The experienced striker revealed that De Koempels’ standard is far superior to the Greek outfit.
“I have noticed the difference in level of Panthrakikos where I played the last six months. I want to finish higher than last season. I want to get more playing time and score goals”, the Syrian International added.
The Syrian forward, who represented his national side in the 2011 AFC Asian Cup, is regarded as one of the finest strikers coming from Western Asia. The 27-year-old started his professional career with R.U Saint-Gilloise in the 2002/03 season. Since then,
the striker has spent time at Belgian outfits, KSV Roeselare and Germinal Beerschot, where he enjoyed successful stints.
His performances have seen a dip since his departure from Beerschot in the summer of 2009, scoring only three goals while playing for two different outfits. However, a move to Roda JC might prove fruitful for the Syrian ace’s career.
