Official: Wigan Athletic sign Ali Al-Habsi from Bolton Wanderers – EPL News
Wigan Athletic have officially confirmed the signing of Omani goalkeeper, Ali Al-Habsi, on a permanent deal from Bolton Wanderers for a reported fee of £4 million.
Al-Habsi has completed his permanent switch to DW stadium and has signed a four-year contract with the Latics.

The Omani custodian has been long linked with a permanent move to Wigan Athletic after hugely impressing in his loan season at the DW Stadium.
Al-Habsi was a revelation at Wigan Athletic and played a big part in the Latic’s Premier League survival battle. The 29-year-old made an immediate impact at the DW Stadium and established himself in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-Kirkland-c9021 and

Al-Habsi managed to keep 8 clean sheets last season and broke Wigan Athletic’s record for the least Premier League defeats, 14, in a campaign.
After his impressive displays for the Latics last season, Al-Habsi attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs but Wigan Athletic were always to leading the race for the signature of the Omani international.
Al-Habsi made a loan switch to Wigan Athletic from Bolton Wanderers in order to get more first team action and the Trotter’s manager, Owen Coyle, has wished him best of luck for his future at DW Stadium. Coyle believes that Al-Habsi has made the right choice
to join Wigan Athletic.

a top professional he is a fantastic man. Ali leaves the club with the best wishes of everyone at Bolton Wanderers.”
After joining the Latics on loan last season, Al-Habsi made his debut against Tottenham Hotspurs and was named the man of the match. He won Wigan Athletic’s Player of the Season award for his consistent and outstanding performances throughout the season.
Ali Al-Habsi is Wigan Athletic’s first signing of the current transfer window with more expected to join soon.
