Official name is Emlia, does the nickname has to be Emi?

The official name that we chose for our baby is Emilia.... does the nickname spelling have to be Emi or can it be Emmi or Emme? what do you think?

it doesnt even have to originate form the name..

nickname can be just other informal way to call her...

Nicknames dont HAVE to be anything.

My names Gianna, I was nicknamed GiGi, but I spelt it GiiGii.

I think that Emmi or Emme make sense as well and I don't think it would matter that much which one you use. It's your decision so don't worry about what we all think just go with your heart :)

It can be any name you want. Also: li,lili,lia, em, ema, whatever you like.. My names briana but my mom spells it bre as the nickname, i never understood why lol i spell it bri anyway tho!

It doesn't have to be anything, but I think Emi would be the least confusing considering it's just a shorter version of her name.

Choose what you feel is best and who cares what anybody else thinks!

You can use Em, Emma, Leah - or any variation of spelling

You can also choose to nickname something from the middle name, last name, or a personality trait

i think it could be nething my name is alison and ive spelled my nickname both ways...ali OR alie ...its just whatev you want, you could call her millee too.
