What is the official term for people who have a phobia of charter buses. I've had it since I was on one that crashed like 8 years ago and it still bothers me to be around them while I'm driving or stopped somewhere.

  1. The official term is "Intelligence".

  2. The push to make up names for different phobias is more the doings of English majors than psychologists.  The actual, official name would be a "Specific phobia: Other type."  There are several types of specific phobias (animal type, environmental type, situational type, blood-injection-injury type, and other type).  Professionals do not use the various made up names you find on sites like phobialist, etc.  To know for sure one would need to get a thorough assessment by a licensed psychologist. Most of these difficulties are easily treatable. Try the ABCT or ADAA websites and their find a therapist links if you need assistance.
