Official windows XP sp2 ENGLISH wanted!?

Question

I will NOT go for vista for another 5 years at least. I have Window XP english, but the CD is now unreadable. I also have win XP in Portuguese... but my Portuguese is not that good in technical terms!

Can someone tell me WHERE I can buy an OFFICIAL copy of win XP sp 2 in english? (They are no more in the shops!)

I am buying a new laptop, and it comes, of course, with Vista... :-(

Newegg has them, but the conventional OEM discs the legal folks bought are gone.

if you have a COA i can give you a disk that will install xp sp2 but xp service pack 3 was released a few months ago, so you will probably want to update to that. and btw vista isnt that bad ever since service pack 1 was released. i have it and i use it all the time, and almost nothing crashes or fails, and i dont like xp anymore, if i were to go back i would go back to 2000 and that would be stupid. email [e-mail] if you want me to send you an ISO for the disk.

Since you own the license to XP on that PC, it would be really stupid to go out and buy another license.  As long as you have the correct edition (ex: home/pro/media center) disc, you should be fine, ex: borrow a friends but use your key.  You can try contacting MS or your computer manufacturer and pay an arm and a leg for a replacement disc.  Or try ebay.

Buy it from an existing user of XP sp 2.  You can find about 300 of them on EBay.

I have a local computer paper, the Computer News, that has classifieds.

Otherwise, Craigslist or Kijiji.
