Officials need 400 volunteers for Mobile Bay LPGA Classic
The Mobile Bay LPGA Classic is slated to take place from April 26-29, at Magnolia Grove’s Crossings Course, with officials looking for volunteers to organise the tournament in a proper fashion.
According to the details, the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic is going to need 400 volunteers to handle the course facilities.
Officials said that the reason for such a large number of volunteers is that the current year’s event is likely to attract a massive crowd.
They said that the management has set up 35 committees that will contain teams assigned to oversee different tasks related to the course, players, and the audience.
The management has put out a detailed list on its website, which explains various fields where volunteers will be expected to work on.
Some of the main committees include leaderboard and Marshal. The tournament’s website has shed light on the tasks and features of each committee.
For Marshals, it reads: “It is impossible to have a well-run and successful golf tournament without good gallery control. In the eyes of the players, the reputation of the tournament depends on a well behaved gallery”.
“Marshals are very important in keeping things quiet and orderly on the course while a professional is hitting. Some golf knowledge is very helpful”.
Moreover, the Retirement Systems of Alabama, which is the tournament’s sponsor, is going to capitalise on the opportunities the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic is set to offer.
The CEO of the company, Dr. David G. Bronner said that he is quite thrilled about the tournament. He appreciated the role of the LPGA, saying he puts his complete trust in the officials of the Tour.
Bronner said they have been seeking to market 55 Water and the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic is providing them with a good platform to reach a wider audience.
The CEO said that the company has mapped out strategies to penetrate the global market. He said that since golf is played across the world, expanding the company’s scope has never been this easy.
“This LPGA event offers a unique opportunity to reach international prospects and should be very beneficial to 55 Water. Audiences in Asia, Europe and other key markets are fascinated with golf,” Bronner said.
