Offseason addition will help Minnesota Twins roster next season – MLB News
According to many baseball experts, the Minnesota Twins are in the right direction heading towards a better future whenever the next season would start. These experts pointed out with positive assertion that the late offseason free agents’ addition in the
team is somehow going to help the Twins franchise in the upcoming seasons, especially in 2012.
The Twins, who lost a total of 99 games in the last Major League Baseball season, would improve their winning record next year as they now will play with a couple of new players. Last season, they lost too many games due to multiple factors like lack of
stature in the outfield with very less significant players.
The Twins general manager, Terry Ryan has recently claimed in the media that the new look of Twins will be a nice surprise for their other league opponents. He has also changed some of the rotation in order to build an opening for new players.
Ryan said on rotation changes, “We feel better about some of the things we've got here, I don't want to eliminate Duensing from that rotation, if someone doesn't come in ready to go and they are a little ouchy, then you have to consider Duensing and [Anthony]
Swarzak and some of the other guys I mentioned. Baker and Blackburn both look like they are going to be healthy. If they are all healthy, then it certainly fortifies our bullpen to some extent.”
Anthony Swarzak along with catcher, Joe Mauer and first baseman, Justin Morneau will also take part in the upcoming training sessions that also shows a good spirit before the start of the 2012 regular season. All these players have relatively good experience
in the league as they will join with all other new comers to damage many teams.
The Twins management also knows that all other teams are also looking at their new talent and planning to make a viable strategy against them. On the other hand, according to Terry Ryan, the Twins will always play safe despite the fact of having several
new players in their 40-man roster as they know the intensity level of next season.
