Offshore Port likely to win Williamhill.com Stakes
Offshore Port is likely to take a comfortable victory in the Williamhill.com Stakes at Newcastle in England on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. The Grade A1 winner will earn a cash prize of £133 in the end.
The 480 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 12:42 GMT and it will definitely test both the speed and stamina of all participants. The competition is expected to be a close one, thus the spectators at Newcastle will be eagerly looking forward to it.
Looking at the recent performances of Offshore Port, it appears that he is full of confidence and will cause a lot of problems for his opponents. He has been in the sport for quite some time and knows how to pressurise his rivals. This is why the bookies
also expect him to be strong at the end of the day and have priced him 11 to 4. He will attract a lot of bets from the punters, but they will have a couple of other options as well.
The J. Wright’s trainee knows the conditions at Newcastle, as he has always raced at this venue. He started his career here and has never run outside this track. This will not be a big advantage for him though, as all of his opponents have done the same.
In June 2010, the seasoned dog made his debut with a few trial runs. His performance in them was good, but his real test was to deliver decent results in competitive racing. He was first tested in a Grade A2 event, where he was rated as one of the favourites
to succeed.
However, he was unable to meet the expectations of the bookies and ended up in a disappointing fifth place. He struggled to deliver a positive result in his next race as well and this was a discouraging sign for his team.
Despite that, they did not lose faith in Offshore Port and he finally started delivering solid results. Since then, he has enjoyed a lot of victories and has earned a lot of respect for what he has achieved until now. He was victorious in his previous three
races and his fans will be hoping that he continues the winning momentum at Newcastle.
