The UK's energy regulator has announced a second major investigation into the gas and electricity industry.

Ofgem is to investigate the UK's 20-year-old regime governing the regulation of the gas and electricity networks.

The two-year review will examine whether customers can expect to receive value for money amid "growing investment challenges" being faced by energy providers in the future.

Last month Ofgem announced an investigation into the UK's gas and electricity markets. It came in the wake of major price rises this year from five of the UK's big six domestic energy retailers.

Do you think we get value for money?

i spend a fortune on gas and electricity and i have just received my water rates, which may i add, have increased by nearly £100 this year.
