okay, if this is really honestly true...how can I improve mine?I used to have them a bit stronger..now I get "little" feelings and signs, instead! This is disconcerting! Is is supposed to *leave* you? or do medications make them go away, alot?(I still get some..."hunches and feelings" but, I do take meds for various illnesses....are these medications making it harder for me to see or to feel anything more?

HeLp!!!!

I want to be able to be stronger at this....also, can not sleeping and or not being able to meditate like other people be a problem for me as well? Please serious answers....as I am not joking with this question, >(because not everybody believes, this way, but, I for one, KNOW that these things have absolutely happened for and to me!)

thanks!

  1. I was refering to this one, Peace...

  2. Learn to meditate and read this book for a start----

  3. I always wondered this also.  It seems that some people are better able to control their psychic abilities.  I think some people grow up in households were they weren't encouraged to surpress their abilities.

My friend who is pyschic fully supports her childrens' abilities and they are able to use it.

  4. I am seriously glad that i have found another believer. May be you have not used your abilities for a long while so they are just now working at a lower potential than they should be at. Don't worry about it. If you are not able to do meditation then for a week try to keep conscious control over your thoughts. Sit back relax in a calm place. Now watch your thoughts. Don't let them fly away; watch them consciously. Do it for 10 minutes in morning and 10 in evening. Soon you will observe that meditation becomes easier. While meditating make sure that you are comfortable. Meditation also helps to improve your abilities. Try to write all your trials successes and failures in a diary. This will show you if your performance is really as bad or if you are just being over critical. Try different types of skill to find out what you are best in. You might not know it other wise and for whatever skill you can do the best. Keep your self motivated. Don't try to make people believe you but encourage believers . That way you will believe more in your abilities. I don't think if you will seriously need to buy any book. Try to google search in psionics. You are sure to get some good sites. If you patiently practice and believe you will succeed. Good luck to you.

P.S. : Randi institute does not gives the money it says it will if some one proves paranormal. They are not trustworthy.

  5. One of the perceived reasons for a diminuation of psychic powers, is a lack of confidence in one's own abilities and powers. People in general scoff, and when that happens, the practitioner often begins to doubt his or her own abilities. Psychic powers are not generally well-regarded and the societal perception is that those who admit to having them are slightly wacko. None of this does much for building confidence, and in time, usage diminishes, which means the powers get weaker, which means they are used less, so they get weaker -- it's like one of those self-fullfilling prophecies.

How can you improve the strength of your powers? Through concentration, meditation, keeping a journal of your psychic abilities, your hunches or feelings, and checking your hit rate. How many were correct? Build on that.

Some medications can have an adverse effect. You may simply have to work through that.

  6. Next to wanting to be stronger, I believe that you also need to be ready for it and 'open' maybe in other ways too. Maybe something in you is not ready yet to fully grow.

When I was younger I experienced more, then it went away and now it is coming back gradually. I think you cannot force it, you need to be open and let it come the way it comes, when you're ready, it will manifest.

  7. hi - i am not a medical doctor and without knowing what meds you are taking there is no way anyone can say if it makes a difference or not.

if you want to strengthen your psychic ability then the best thing is to do so under guidance.

i would suggest the first thing for you to work on is to learn to relax. practise visualisation, meditation as you call it.

    start with very simple ones.

ask for advice from other people you know to be psychic, but you do not need to take the answer as gospel. remember ... its good to question things. :-)

    good luck

  8. stop takeing stuff that will keep u awake like codine or tramadol there bad 4 u and thats y ur not sleeping and wen u dont sleep u lose ur energy and wen u lose ur energy the less u will be eble to preform telekinesis u dont have to be relaying on that stuff and dont worrie about the way u think at night wen u try and go to sleep thats just the way u think and that will stop wen u stop takin those stuff

  9. Yeah, it's not really true.  No one actually has psychic abilities.  If they did, SOMEONE at SOME POINT in the history of the world would have actually proved it to a scientist, thus opening up a whole new field of study.  But they never have.

If someone here disagrees with me, this guy will give you a million dollars for a 5 minute demonstration of your abilities http://www.randi.org .  A million bucks for 5 minutes of your time.  Donate it to charity if you don't want the money.

  10. Firstly, don't stop taking your medication.  It may be a factor, but it's something you can work through.

As a few other people mentioned, meditation and journaling are good ways of improving your psychic abilities.  Also, keep a journal of your dreams.  Some dreams are psychic impressions, but all dreams will give you insight into yourself.  That will help a great deal.

And, like anything else, the more you practice the better at it you are.  Get yourself a Tarot deck and get in the habit of reading your cards daily.  This is a good way of training yourself to listen to your intuition.  Eventually, you won't need the cards.  Also, you can practice with psychometry -- ask a friend to hand you a personal item.  Quiet your mind and just let the impressions come to you.  Tell your friend whatever it is that pops into your mind -- it may make more sense to them than it does to you.

    Hope this helps.

  11. You need to watch Uri Geller make an utter fool of himself on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. Then you will hopefully stop wasting your time with this ineffable nonsense!

  12. Thats really a good question.  I have always had dreams as a child and they almost always came true (really specific dreams).  That whole thing left me for a while or maybe I was not in tune with my "gift" I recently became ill (last year and it seems that it has come back in full force.  I am trying to read up on everything that can help, I too find it hard to sleep and can't seem to "meditate"  -- if you find something that works for you -- please share it with me.  email me if you would like to.  I am currently reading a book called "You Are Psychic"  by Pete A. Sanders, Jr. (just started reading it)  (it states that it a trained scientist's proven program for expanding your pyschic abilities.

  13. Everyone has psychic abilities but not all people are attuned to them. To some things may come naturally but for others they need to work at them. I also believe that medications will hinder progress with connecting to your Higher Self.

Meditation will help with focusing and connecting with your Self but it doesn't happen overnight. It does take time and practice.

  14. I am not sure... your abilities should not dwindle like that. It could happen if you don't improve them, just like every day you don't practice an instrument is like losing two days of practice. But how to improve them is not always clear.

The best, most generic way is through growth. Learning about things around you that you didn't know. How the world, the universe, God, whatever, works. Then to understand it, to have it seem right in the very core of your being. To increase your awareness of what exists to new levels, like a child growing up who never thought outside of his neighborhood, then expands to consider is city, his state, then his country, and the world as a whole (in fact, as a small place).

Sometimes this raw understanding is balanced out by knowledge... I mean, if you just "understood" things or felt things before, and then you start learning how and why, they balance. It is not a bad thing, it is a very good thing. Maybe you don't need constant hunches and feelings because you have knowledge to make up for it? And having both is always more balanced and more productive, believe it or not.

A similar thing happened to me. I once had frequent deja vu, hunches, visions, all that stuff. As I learned and enriched my knowledge as well as my understanding, I no longer get deja vu nearly as often, but I am way more aware of the world around me than before.

  15. You can't work on an ability that is non-existent. Like Eri already said, the fact that EVERY SINGLE PERSON who has ever tried to demonstrate any kind of psychic ability has failed miserably should be a tip-off. Such powers exist only in the land of make-believe (or the land of self-delusion). Hunches and feelings are not evidence of psychic ability. Everybody gets them, and sometimes because you know something of the situation or due just to coincidence, your hunch comes true. It happens, but it's not psychic. I'd suggest that you spend your time on improving actual, real abilities.

  16. now if you were truly pyschic would you not know the answer on how to approve your abilities?

  17. the people who write those books pray upon your wish for there to be psychic powers. consider this. there is an open prize of 1million dollars (and growing) for anyone who can demonstrate a psychic power with proper scientific evidence. a million buckos. if the author has psychic power why don't they claim this prize? because they can't but what they CAN do is claim your money by writing a book about what they can supposedly do.

whatever you do, don't stop taking your medication. what you SHOULD do is ask your doctor what the possible side effects of your medications are. some side effects can be as mild as upset stomach some can be so bad as to be possible to cause psychotic breakdowns. those are the kind of side effects doctors try to shy past mentioning. not because they think you shouldn't know about them, more that they have considered the risks and consider the meds to be more help then harm (and come on they ARE experts hehe), still talk to the doc.

as to the sleep. this could be a serious issue, again possible side effects. not able to meditate? all issues for against it this again, could be a side effect of medication. ask the person making the boocko dollars what to do and whats going on, they make that kind of money because they have to know whats going on.

  18. Well I think that the younger you are, the more your in-tuned to the ability . I think everyone has it,but loses it the older they get. You need to recognise the feelings, and the signs that are being relayed to you. I feel that's what the study of it is all about. I was born at precisely midnight, and used to get all kinds of signs telling me stuff.Stuff that was going to happen before they actually would happen. Most of which I didn't care to know. Than because they were very unpleasant to know about, I started to ignore them. Bad mistake. I soon discovered the more I ignored the signs the less I would receive them. I think I would have it the way I was born to have . There's a reason I was able to perceive things so very well. Now I 'm learning how to recognise the signs again. I don't think it's your medication that's making you loose your feelings. I think you just have other things on your mind that seem more important to you at this time, and you are subconsciously pushing those feelings to the side without knowing it. Just start to recognise them again that's all. Don't stop taking your medicines, I don't think that's the cause. Bye

  19. Check out John Edward. He is a world-reknown psychic medium who believes that everyone has psychic ability. He has some useful tools to help develop your abilities. And to all those who say that it doesn't exist if you can't prove it--he willingly and actively participates in scientific research studies regarding paranormal experiences and psychic ability.

  21. Well one good way is meditation. Visualization is another. You have to learn to relax and make things happen, raise your energy. Create places in your mind, I did this and they are strong images that I keep with me always. You have to develop your third eye. Research that, get a book on meditations to get the chakras strong and clear. This is very obtainable if you are willing to try. Levels of intuition are different for everyone..but be serious and give it time and the more you learn and do, the better you will become.

    Good Luck and Blessed Be...

  22. You can "work on" your powers of focus and your ability to concentrate on a single thought for long periods of time.  You can "work on" recognizing an instinct as being different from a thought.  You can "work on" trusting your instinct and intuition.  You can learn more about the different types of abilities and skills that people have.

These are things that you can work on.  If you can identify a specific skill that you would like to develop, you can create a plan for developing that skill.  (The phrase "psychic abilities" is very general and you need a specific goal if you are going to make any progress.)  There are some tools that are valuable for many "psychic abilities", like focus, concentration, and sensitivity.

Regardless of the skill you wish to develop, there is no quick way to get there.  It will take time to study and understand the phenomenon, and months to years of practice to hone your skills to the point where you can conciously use them.

Some of these skills come more naturally to some people than others which is why they seem to be more successful.  But, just like any skill, you must practice before you will succeed.  The brain works like a muscle.  It will get stronger as you use it, but if you stop exercising it, it will grow weaker.
