  1. why don't you just get a post office box? there is no real physical address there.

  2. personal correspondence gets forwarded for one year only.  no bulk  mail or catalogs get forwarded.  also LOTS of mail that is forwarded gets lost or delayed by months.  We moved less than a year ago to a city not twenty miles down the road.. and our forwarded mail is taking an extra 3 weeks to get to our new address.

just how do you intend to get an address in CO if you do not have any ties there?  PO boxes may not be forwarded.  If this correspondence is time sensitive in any way, just get a LOCAL PO Box.  he still won't have your physical address.

  3. Yes. When you put in a change of adress, all of your mail is then forwarded to your new adress. I dont know how long the post office will be willing to do this though, because it is extra work for your mail man.

  4. If you file the change of address both the old address and the new address will receive notices.

There are many re-mailing services where, for about $1 per letter (might be higher now), they will forward all your mail to you.  There's no way for the person sending the letter to know it's a re-mailing service.

Google gave me 85,000 hits for re-mailing services.....

A friend's been using one in Arizona for years to hide his wife from her ex.

  5. It will get forwarded but only for a limited amount of time (I believe it is only 60 days).  I just moved.

No matter how you word your comments it sounds like you are trying to commit fraud.

Also, if you want a 100% correct answer instead of listening to the hersey here why not go and ask the USPS?  They are the ones you should be asking instead of wasting time on here complaining about other peoples answers.  They will also very quickly tell you whether or not this is legal.  You can also try getting the little change of address card and read the fine print.  It will help explain as well.

Why is this in the military section?

  6. How is this a military related question?

You may be in the military (which i seriously doubt you are because you incorrectly abbreviated CORP.) but that doesn't mean that this is a military question.
