Let's say your manager at work has been doing some unethical behaviour.. as in stealing cash money and lying about it. And you have witnessed it happen before.

Then this manager asks you to falsify some papers in order to cover her ***.

Would you report her or would you confront her?

- Now, to make matters worse, this manager is your platonic, weird roomate...

You were going to give them a notice to move but then this happened.

You didn't falsify the papers but you called HR immediately. HR told you that everything will remain anonymous and you had nothing to worry about.

Then your manager/roommate finds out it was YOU who called HR.

Now, what do you do?

  1. There is no gentle way to do this other than to throw your roommate out.  You don't need that kind of grief . It is evident that this person has little or no regard for you.  I wouldn't think that you would loose your job over this.

  2. Separate yourself from this person as soon as possible, in the home and in the workplace. Sounds like someone in HR broke the anonymity rule. If this is a chain business, notify the head office.

  3. Find a new roommate.

  4. move and find a new job.
