Oh no, chipped tooth?

when i'm bored, i would go around and feel all my teeth with my tounge, there's a sharp spt, i think my molar chipped ...

My question is: does chipped tooth sore? hurt? sensitive to cold/hot? ....

  1. Hello...The straight forward answer to your question is that a chipped tooth isn't automatically doomed to cause pain. The criteria is based on how deeply the chip has exposed the various layers of the tooth...The tooth is made up of three layers of material, the Enamel, then the Dentin and finally the Pulp...The Dentin is the shock absorber layer and if the chip got down to that layer chances are you will feel discomfort...In any event you need to have the tooth evaluated by a Dentist.   2. Yes it can when it colides with something else, my advice would be to go and see your dentist about it, and see if he could help you, because if you leave it, it might get worse.
