Oh rude. I saw 3 cars throw out lit cigs out windows. fire starters?

What is wrong with them. cars have ash trays.I was driving in the mountains and saw them throw them out the window.can i take their plate number and turn them in.

They should be fined. A lot of these cigarette butts are to blame for the wildfires that happen often in southern California.  The people that do that are inconsiderate, ignorant, lazy, gross, and irresponsible. If you don't like the stink then don't smoke. Get a cup or something. It's not our problem. Find a way so the butts don't find their way onto our roadways and destroy the land.

most police wont do any thing cause they didnt see it, and its hard to prove that they did it in court. i admit i used to do it when i was younger, then i realised that they dont just go away, now i see it and wish i never did it to begin with. it also suck when you riding a bike and someone does it to you and it hits you. i just wanna shoot people like that.

but now a days cars dont have ash trays  well some do but its a smoking package you can get installed when or if you build your car i know ive checked

It's true that most cars no longer have ash trays. But as far as I'm concerned, that's not much of an excuse. I smoke in the car and use a bean bag ash tray, since it can't tip over, it's wide enough, and it's easy to empty.

However, I'm afraid that the lack of ash trays has contributed to the problem of butts being tossed out the window, since many people are too lazy to find an alternative.

It's quite unlikely that a tossed cigarette could start a fire, but it's not impossible. Given the right conditions, anything can happen.

At any rate, it's still littering. Bean bag ash trays are cheap.

Yes they can set fires, Yes you can turn them in, but no one will do anything about it....I see cigarette butts go flying all the time.  The inconsiderate smokers don't want the butts to stink up their car, so they litter and pollute our world!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone who smokes is screwed up in the head anyway!!!

When you throw a lit cig out of a moving car it goes out instantly as it flies and hits the ground, Doesn't hurt a thing

Oh and to "B" according to your logic your parents, and grandparents must have been screwed up in the head just because smoking was more acceptable in their days.
