Ohio's Disturbance of the peace hot line?

We live in a slightly rual area. We own a raspberry Upick. And we own one horse. Our neighbors own 6 or so horses. And we have a neighbor across the street that keeps shooting guns. As far as we know its not pointed at us or any one else but he shoots every day atleast 10 times. When we have upickers they get scared because all they hear are gun shots. Also it spooks the horses to the point where they get out. Where can I find a number to call about disturbance of the peace in the mid ohio region. If no number what do we do?!?! I would not be ticked off unless it was annoying and it has been every day for the past month that he has been shooting and it needs to stop.

Please help

  1. Considering this is an urban area, call your countie's Sheriff Department ( non emergency number) and discuss this entire situation. They can tell you if your area is specifically forbidden to fire weapons in your jurisdiction.

Even if this is legal in your area ( and most of our rural areas are not cited against it), the deputies can stop by and talk to the person who is shooting on a daily basis and see if he is doing so legally and in a safe direction.

Considering your business aspects, I am sure the deputies can have a serious discussion with this person concerning safety and not firing his weapons as he has been doing.

Best of luck and I hope this can be useful to you

  2. The police, 911.. he probably won't get arrested, but the police would tell him to stop shooting guns.
