Question:

Ohio Laws On Picture Taking?

A woman verbally agreed for her lover to take pictures only for personal use. Not to send them on the internet to strangers. Well, her boyfriend decided to use three photos not nude, but only her butt showing to an arch rival because his buddy is the brother. Basically the boyfriend was making a mockery he is having s*x with the sister. Needless to say the police in Ohio said that anyone can take public pictures and do whatever they want too. Now to me that is invasion of privacy, and there was not a sound/image release form written on any kind of agreement. The police told me that it’s not character assassination or identity theft, that it’s a useless report. The girlfriend is hurt and feels violated. Does anyone know about photo laws?

  1. should have gotten it in writing...thereby making it a contract, unfortunately people agree and do stupid things because of love.

    Sorry.

  2. cops are saying it is not a criminal matter.

if you want to know if it is a civil matter, hire a local attorney

  3. There is no right to privacy in that which one voluntarily exposes to another.  If one voluntarily poses for photos, the photographer owns the picture.  She trusted him but shouldn't have.
