Two lane road, one lane in each direction. Small residential/country road with no lines seperating the lanes.

Whats the state law on passing another vehicle in this area? Are you allowed to do so as long as it's clear?

  1. yes

  2. Passing is allowed as long as there is not a solid line on your side of the road.

In the case where there are no lines special care should be taken when approaching a curve in the road, or the crest of a hill.  In these situations it's just a good idea not to pass...whether there are lines or not.

  3. The law is the same in most states, you can pass as long as it is clear and will not cause an accident to the other driver.

  4. yes in ohio if there is NO double lines you can pass when it is clear.  this includes if there are no lines at all
