Ohio State Buckeyes -vs- USC Trojans.. Timing of USC's off week.?

Did USC plan this off week to have 2 weeks to prepare for THE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES ?

What difference will it make? The Buckeyes will be playing another playoff division school, and that's almost the same as having the week off.  

I think USC will rout Ohio State, even without a tailback going over the century mark; they'll have six with 80 yards.  And, Sanchez looked pretty darn sharp in the Trojan rout of Virginia.

It's their schedule, they can do what they want. Personally, I would rather have another tune up game early in the season. Later in the season, the week off makes a much bigger difference, when a lot of players are fatigued and nursing injuries.

The answer to your question will be a big NO! Schedules are made way ahead of time (2 years ahead). No one knew how strong their opponents will be when the schedules were made. Unfortunately for Ohio State, they are about to face a team that is superior in every facet of the game. Normally, at this time of the year, Ohio State will be facing the likes of a division II school.

Yes, although I think it is a big mistake on their part.  It would be more beneficial later in the season with injuries and fatigue.  The team needs to gain a rhythm and you cannot do that if you are not playing.  This is too early in the season to play that caliber  a team with a break like this.

I think this hurts USC. They have a young offense and the QB has been hurt all year. It would have been alot better for them to play a non-conference game just to keep them sharp. But then again. They need the extra week to get ready for the team of the Decade...The Ohio State Buckeyes...
