Ohio State stumbles against USC ?

Ohio State as usual has a weak schedule to start with in Youngstown and Ohio. Surely this may give them time to see their quarterback situation more clearly, but their defense will not be tested with those opponents. USC's speed will kill them there from both ends of the football. USC's offense is not totally known with new talent, but there defense is fast and ferocious. Ohio State will have trouble if Wells doesn't carry the load and open up the passing game plus pursuit will get to the Bucks quarterback. USC has tougher opponent to prepare with against Virginia on the road, and USC is at home as Coliseum very tough place for visitors. Ohio State needs to be careful with injuries in this hard hitter with conference play coming up. I see this game helping the other contenders for the BIG Ten title to compete with them including Michigan

oh good lord: Virginia is slated to finish nearly dead last in its half of the ACC division. That game end up in a blowout. Ohio State starts off with Youngstown State is true, but do we know for sure how they ended up in the schedule, normally a replacement from a team that dropped out from the previous agreement is usually how a div 1a opens to a div2aa team. Its simply faster to fill in that void.

personally your defense is defined as quick, athletetic, not so much

as defined as speed, these types of defenses Ohio State can handle .

You USC fans better worry more when your on Offense. Last Year overall number 1 ranked defense in the country. A fearsome pash rush

and a hurt qb, along with an offense most experts call mediocre according to USC standards.

Im sorry but USC defense will carry the load for them this year. But up against opponnents who match USC equally or not too far behind defensivley with a stronger offense is going to oppose issue's and possible some close losses. USC def avg 16.0 pts per game last year, so scoreing on them is possible.

Ohio State 12.8. Ohio State 18 returning starters to USC's 13.

Ohio State has proven they can win these games in the past.

this year is Vidal Hazelton with 50 receptions, 548 yards and only 4 tds. Your leading rusher is Stafon Johnson with 673 yards and 5 tds.

So those are Ok numbers, but in a starters role, thats a different ball game. Offense too mediocre.

You cannot declare victory over USC today.  Your outline of the weak schedule tells me that if the teams are of equal talent OSU should win.  I would rather see it go the other way, but the Bucks have set their schedule to perfection.  The are preparing for USC NOW!  That is nice luxury for a big time program.  It is the whole inequality of competition that makes OSU strong.

Virginia isn't exactly 'tough' this year...i think they are 80 something according to rivals.com...I would put my money on Ohio being ranked higher on rivals.com

both USC and OSU defense are 2 of the toughest in the nation...a 1st year starter isn't exactly going up and down the field against OSU, in his 2nd game out

actually reading your paragraph, you could really flip it completely around and switch out OSU with USC and vice versa

should be a great game, with both teams putting everything into it to win

Dont think that freshman gets playing time in this game i think that Beckman will lead the team but i dont that Ohio State wins this game its going be very close

Well seeing as how they choke when it comes to playing good teams outside the Big 10. Which is a joke of a confrence. I say yea the fall flat on their face again as they meet up with a faster, more ahtletic, better coached team in USC.
