i have an old rca tv, i have some 2inch little speakers that i want to rewire and use them instead of the tv speakers. But i noticed that the ohms rating for the speakers i wanna use are 8ohms, the ones the tv came with are 1.5ohms. Am i able to do this with no problem seeing how small the speakers are, or will i blow something out?

  1. as long as the speakers have a higher impedance than the tv ones, you won't damage anything.

A warning though: They will be quieter that the factory speakers since they have a higher impedance rating.
