The Pamplona born and bred attributes their poor start to constant changes in starting line-up, whilst also pointing towards defensive frailties that have damaged their season.
Seven matches into the 2012/13 La Liga season and Osasuna only have a paltry four points to show for against their names. Los Rojillos are 19th on the points table, registering five defeats and a single win.
Midfielder, Oier Sanjurjo, took out time to reflect on the situation. While addressing the topic, he said that squad failures have occurred all across the pitch during the seven games they have played so far. He made his point by looking in the direction
of goals scored statistics by the Pamplona based entity, cross referencing it to the goals they have conceded.
Additionally, he pointed towards the many changes that Jose Luis Mendilibar have made over the course of the season.
"I think the ruling was a bit on all lines. We got a few goals and we have received many. Has been somewhat generalized everything. Should be improved at all," the Estella born footballer said at a news conference after training.
Responding to questions about the magnanimous slump in form, Oier shared his belief that it can be attributed to "lack of empathy". He claimed that with many new players being added to the dressing room over the summer transfer window, they are having troubling
settling in.
"There have been many new faces, players who have not played together for a long time. There have been many changes on defensive side."
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oier-c28349 refused to question the professionalism of the team, commenting that everyone is aware of their roles in the first team and will come good. He admitted that it is not a solution to anything, but believes it is a starting point.
"Everyone knows what to do in his position," the 26-yearold remarked. "I'm not saying that will be the solution to anything."
On resumption of La Liga after the international break, Osasuna take on the challenge of Real Betis at El Sadar. The Andalusian club are enjoying a contrasting start to the league campaign as they comfortably sit in 4th place, distancing themselves
from relegation the tag of relegation contenders.
