How many gallons are there in a "barrel" of crude oil.

Also, when pumped, it a US gallon or an Imperial gallon (UK)?

  2. Crude oil is traded worldwide as US Barrels at 42 Gallons per Barrel.

    Some barrels of other liquids in the UK (Imperial), come as 55gal/bbl. (or Drum).

    (When Gasoline or Diesel is pumped at a Gas Station.

    1.0 US Gallon = 3.8L and 1.0 Imperial Gallon = 4.5L).
